Welcome to The Cornwall Watercolour Society

Welcome to The Cornwall Watercolour Society

We invite you to come in and enjoy the wealth of talent from our member artists.

The Cornwall Watercolour Society was founded in 2005 to showcase some of the county’s finest artists in watercolour and water-based media while promoting watercolour as a serious medium. Our artists present the diversity of this beautiful, translucent and fluid medium in work ranging in style and subject matter from botanical illustration, architecture, land and seascape, and exploiting techniques requiring skill in pure watercolour, collage and abstraction.

We hold several exhibitions a year at venues across the county, which provide an opportunity to discover and purchase work by some of Cornwall’s leading contemporary watercolourists. Come to one of our “Private Views” or “Meet the Artist” events to chat and enjoy a glass of wine, or join us for a plein air painting day.

Membership

Membership is open to artists living and working in Cornwall or with strong links to the county. We welcome applications from prospective new members and opportunities to collaborate with other arts societies. Please contact us by emailing enquiries@cornwallwatercoloursociety.org
