John Blight was born in 1943 in Beckenham Kent. He attended the Byam Shaw School of Art Kensington in 1959 and graduated from St Martins School of Art in 1964. His work has been exhibited extensively throughout Cornwall, Devon, Sussex and London. He is a founder member and chaired the Cornwall Watercolour Society from 2005 when it was formed, until 2023. He is also the owner/manager of the Camelford Gallery in Cornwall.
